Supports pathways to national and international universities
Global Edu, which supports students in their pathways to Japan and overseas, has been offering the SENPAI Program, a pathway support program with top university students from Japan and abroad, since the summer of 2023.
SENPAI lecturers from top universities in Japan, including the University of Tokyo, and diverse universities, such as the University of British Columbia and Top EU STEM university, support students’ studies towards target TOEFL, SAT, International Baccalaureate, and IELTS scores.
At the same time, they provide study planning advice, time management, consultation, support in selecting and applying to schools of interest, and precise support tailored to each student’s situation, making full use of GlobalEd’s resources and SENPAI’s network.

Born in Bulgaria. Came to Japan when he was in the 6th grade after his mother was assigned as a diplomat in Tokyo. Graduated an international school in Tokyo in June 2023. Enrolled in the Computer Science & Engineering department at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands from this September. Was accepted into four of the top science and engineering universities in the Netherlands. Momo is a SENPAI who possesses both intelligence and humility.

Alex
Born in South Korea. Lived in both South Korea and Japan and graduated from an international school in Tokyo in 2023. Enrolled in PEAK, The International Program on Environmental Sciences in 2023. Hibiki
Born in Japan. After attending a public elementary school in Japan and an international school overseas, he have been enrolled in an international school in Tokyo since Grade 3. He learnt PYP, MYP, IGCSE and DP in an international school with the IB curriculum. After graduating in June 2023, he enrolled in SPSF in Sophia University. He is well-versed in domestic and international pop culture, including movies, manga, and video games. He is currently attending university while pursuing a career in music. Hibiki is a SENPAI with a strong sense of creativity

How to sign up
The SENPAI Program is an online tutoring service that supports students in their studies by offering four 90-minute lessons per session per month and also accepting questions online at any time.
Lessons tailored to individual situations
The SENPAI program does not have pre-determined content but offers lessons customized to the situation and objectives of the person taking the course.
First, please let us know what kind of learning support you would like and the days of the week you would like lessons.
Our consultant will send you information about SENPAI that matches your wishes and requirements, and you can then proceed to a free trial lesson (30 minutes) after discussing it with your child.
After the trial lesson, you can judge your child’s compatibility with the teacher and proceed to the main application process.
Please let us know about your child’s situation, preferred career path, and the lessons they want to take.
The consultant will select a SENPAI tutor who matches your preferences and provide you with details.
If the SENPAI meets your requirements, proceed to a trial lesson.
We offer a trial lesson online.
After you have assessed your compatibility with the instructor, you can proceed to the main application process.
You will complete the application procedure. You will then receive a study plan.
Note on registration
As a rule, only one subject can be provided in one class. If, for example, you would like study support for TOEFL and SATs, you should apply for two classes per week.
Basic study support is tailored to the school curriculum and subjects. For primary school students, cross-subject lesson review, preparation, and homework support are available; please get in touch with us for more information.
